Landers not middle of the road

Well Rich Landers is at it again, according to his sports page editorial of Sept. 27, in which he stated that environmentalists are middle-of-the-roaders. So I guess that makes those who spike trees and destroy heavy equipment left-wing eco-terrorists, while those who oppose anything the middle-of-the-road environmentalists are for as right wingers.

He never ceases to amaze me with his liberal babble while trying to appear a fair-minded middle-of-the-roader. It was just over a month ago when he labeled anybody who disagreed with the wearing of hunters orange as right-wing wackos. Instead, he should have just stressed the safety factor: you can be seen better if you are wearing hunters orange.

Also, he made a statement that alluded to the fact that the Washington State Fish and Wildlife Commission is above the judicial laws of this state. Now that is a real wacko thought. I wonder what he will come up with next?

Oh, by the way. Shouldn’t his political editorials be on the editorial page with his liberal colleagues, Doug Floyd and Milt Priggee? Steve Odell Spokane
