Wife Killed For Refusal To Share Husband

Compiled From Wire Services

A man killed his wife after she refused to let him take a second wife, the state-run media reported Sunday.

Islamic law allows men to have up to four wives - but only if the first wife agrees.

Mohammed Raza flew into a rage Saturday after his wife refused to give him written permission to marry again, The Associated Press of Pakistan reported. Raza shot his wife several times, then killed her younger brother, who was visiting.

Raza fled after the attack, and police were searching for him.
