Woman Kills Herself Near Parade Route

A hotel housekeeper committed suicide Sunday by jumping out a 29th-floor window, nearly hitting three people one block from Pope John Paul II’s parade route.

The woman jumped hours before the parade.

Police identified the woman as 36-year-old Miley Lee Carr. Co-workers said she had been distraught since recently breaking up with her boyfriend.
