Ag Official Plans Davenport Meeting

Eugene Moos, the third-most powerful U.S. Department of Agriculture official and a native of Edwall, Wash., will hold a public meeting at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in Davenport, Wash.

The USDA undersecretary of farm and foreign agricultural services plans to discuss the congressional farm bill debate and reorganization of the USDA, said Larry Albin, state director of the federal Farm Service Agency.

Moos will appear at the Davenport Memorial Hall, 511 Park St., one block south of city center and Highway 2.
