Barnes Sends Lakeland Out With A Win

Cara Barnes accounted for both of Lakeland’s goals in a 2-1 victory Monday against visiting Bonners Ferry in a non-league girls soccer match.

Denelle Ripatti scored the Badgers’ lone goal on a penalty kick at the 33-minute mark.

Nikki Schaffer had eight saves for the Hawks, while Jennifer Gunnerson countered with 15 for Bonners Ferry.

Mindy Ruskovitch and Nikki Walters each recorded an assist for Lakeland. With the win, the Hawks moved their final record to 2-8.
