New Rv Resort On Newport Highway Will Cater To A Wide Variety Of Users

Bruce Krasnow Staff writer

The Alderwood RV Resort on Newport Highway north of Northpointe is open, and the owners hope to attract snowbirds, travelers and a certain number of temporary workers and homebuyers.

Manager Gordy Cameron said Alderwood is eight acres and has 107 pods with a monthly rate of $250.

Alderwood provides cable television, an indoor pool and laundry. The business also plans to open a 12-hole putting course.

The park is targeting those who stay in Spokane during the summer, as well as Canadian shoppers and tourist traffic.

Golf tournaments at Wandermere also will bring in RV owners, and Cameron has received inquiries from construction workers in north Spokane on temporary jobs and couples waiting to buy homes.

“The owners think a quality park is needed in north Spokane,” said Cameron.

The park is owned by Cliff and Sandy Helm, owners of Alderwood Landscaping, and Dale and Barbara Franson, a Seattle couple.

Happy birthday, Garland
