Cda Man Held After Drugs Found

From Staff Reports

A Coeur d’Alene man has been charged with drug trafficking after police found $32,000 worth of methamphetamine in a storage unit.

Joshua Auerhammer, 20, along with four other people, was arrested at his home on 3273 N. 11th St. at about 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, said Coeur d’Alene Police Lt. John Bassett.

Officers from the Kootenai County Drug Task Force searched the house and were then given permission to search a storage unit Auerhammer had rented, Bassett said. That’s where officers found about one pound of methamphetamine, police said.

Also arrested:

Juvenal Dacosta, 18, charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver.

Jody Griggs, 20, charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver.

Tammy Gibaldi, 33, charged with possession of methamphetamine.

Jeff Ward, 20, charged with frequenting a place where drugs are sold.

Methamphetamine, also known as crank, is a synthetic stimulant that has gained popularity in the Northwest within the last year, police say. , DataTimes
