Jones Grabs Second

Ritva Lemettinen, 34, an Olympic team member from Seinajoki, Finland, won the women’s title at the LaSalle Banks Chicago Marathon in a time of 2:28:39 beating Spokane’s Kim Jones, 36, who completed the course in 2:31:24.

Eamonn Martin, a 37-year-old Englishman and relative newcomer to marathons, won the men’s race in 2:11:18 edging Carlos Bautista, 25, of Mexico, who finished at 2:11:21.
