Sculpture Vandalized

Compiled From Wire Services

One of the public art sculptures outside the Spokane Arena is under repair after being vandalized last week.

“We discovered last Friday that part of the connection at the foot of it had been vandalized,” said Jerry Schlatter, an Arena project manager. “We took it out and we’re having the sculptor do some additional work on it.”

Schlatter said one of “The Leap” sculptures looked as if some vandals had rocked the figure back and forth.

He said he wasn’t sure how long work on the sculpture would take.
