Wild Ride Is Over Cleveland Returns After 41 Years

To get to their first World Series in 41 years, the Cleveland Indians had one tall obstacle to overcome.

They did. Randy Johnson couldn’t do it alone.

The Indians reached the World Series for the first time since 1954, beating the Seattle Mariners 4-0 Tuesday night to win the American League Championship Series 4-2, behind seven shutout innings by Dennis Martinez.
