Usc Player’s Attorney Seeks Court Order
The attorney for USC defensive end Israel Ifeanyi said Wednesday night that he will attempt to get a temporary restraining order from Los Angeles Superior Court that would allow Ifeanyi to play in USC’s game at Notre Dame on Saturday.
The NCAA and USC declared Ifeanyi ineligible for the game because of money he received from his Nigerian tribe. If granted, the temporary restraining order, with both parties named as defendants, would restore Ifeanyi’s eligibility while the NCAA schedules and considers an appeal.
Ifeanyi sat out three previous games because of his alleged involvement with a sports agent.
