The Slice Let’s Get Trench Coats To Match

We’ve often remarked that wearing hats in cold weather makes irrefutable sense.

But has anyone considered the possibility that, if all the men in Spokane took to wearing fedoras, it could become a tourist attraction? Sure. People might come to see what America looked like in the 1940s.

Think about it. It’s dumb enough to work.

Kicks: The 1971 movie “Billy Jack,” which was a monster hit in Spokane, is on cable’s TBS starting at 5:05 p.m. That’s right, pretend you’ve never heard of it. We’re all totally convinced. In your whole life, you’ve only ever watched art house movies.

Overheard on the Gonzaga University campus: Young woman talking to a guy: “Dave? That’s it? Is that kind of like Cher? You don’t need a last name? It’s just Dave?”

Slice answer: If Spokane and Coeur d’Alene were a married couple what would people say? “Why would such a lovely little lady marry such a big stupid oaf?” - L.S.

We always like to know what we’re missing: So send us your Halloween party invitation.
