Injuries

Seahawks: WR Ricky Proehl (ankle), LB Tyronne Stowe (arm) are out. DE Antonio Edwards (knee), DE Michael Sinclair (knee) are questionable.

Chargers: CB Darrien Gordon (shoulder), WR Jimmy Oliver (shoulder), DT Don Sasa (knee-injured reserve) are out. QB Stan Humphries (shoudler) is questionable.

Notable

Durable defensive tackle Joe Nash will play in his 201st game as a Seahawk. That breaks Steve Largent’s record of 200. The 35-year-old Nash showed he’s not slowing down by taking over a starting spot from Sam Adams.

In the first meeting between these teams, Chargers receiver Tony Martin matched an all-time opponent-high of 13 catches.

Hawks punter Rick Tuten set two club records against Buffalo last week, booting a 73-yard punt and averaging 52.8 yards per punt.

Chargers coach Bobby Ross is 6-1 against Seattle since taking over in San Diego.

Former Washington State defensive end Don Sasa, who was seeing spot duty for the Chargers, is out for the season with a knee injury.

Analysis

Put your finger on the flush lever if Seattle doesn’t play this one close.

The Hawks lost a close one down in San Diego and the Chargers, with Humphries at perhaps less than 100 percent, could easily drop their fourth in a row.

Weak Chargers pass rush should allow Rick Mirer time to get off the ball, but run defense could make it a long day for Chris Warren.

So, that leaves it up to the Seahawks defense to snap out of its funk.

Another 400-yard offensive day by a slobbering opposing offense dooms the Hawks. But if the Hawks can stop the big play, they should be able to start edging back toward .500.
