Compiled From Wire Services

In Austin, Texas, Masters champion Ben Crenshaw had a stone removed from his left kidney but doctors expect him to be ready to play in this week’s Tour Championship.

“He’s fine,” Crenshaw’s agent, Scott Sayers, said. “He went in this morning and will be released this afternoon. He can go to Tulsa on Wednesday and whether he can practice or not we don’t know, but he can play Thursday.”

In London, after weeks of speculation about his marriage, three-time British Open and two-time Masters champion Nick Faldo confirmed he was separating from his wife Gill.

Charley Boswell, who lost his sight during World War II but gained renown as a blind golfer, died Sunday night in Birmingham, Ala. He was 78.
