Soldier Shoots, Kills Wife, Then Himself

A soldier shot his estranged wife in the head at the Air Force Academy’s community center Monday morning, then shot and killed himself.

Other people in the building reported hearing no argument or shouting.

The bodies of Danny Andrew Jackson, 32, and Kristine Jackson, also 32, were found lying next to one another about 10 feet inside the building entrance.

Jackson was posted to the Fort Carson Army Post in Colorado Springs, south of the Air Force Academy. His wife was a civilian employee of the community center.
