Woman Arrested After Robbery

From Staff And Wire Reports

Sheriff’s deputies arrested a 34-year-old woman Monday night in connection with the second of two recent armed robberies of a Subway sandwich shop in the Spokane Valley.

Deputies spotted a white pickup truck with Nevada license plates about 9:30 p.m., about an hour after employees reported a robbery.

The vehicle matched the description of a getaway truck seen Sunday after a man robbed the Subway shop at 6710 E. Sprague.

Driving the truck at the time of Monday’s arrest was Michelle E. Eichstadt. A man in the truck was not charged, said Lt. David Wiyrick, a sheriff’s department spokesman.

Wiyrick said deputies also found a large-caliber handgun inside the truck.

A woman entered the store Monday, reportedly wearing an olive hunting cap, sunglasses and black vinyl jacket. She was carrying a handgun, deputies were told.

“I guess they figured they got away Sunday, they’d try it one more time,” he said. , DataTimes
