Education: Bachelor’s degree in biology from Trevecca College in Nashville, Tenn., master’s degrees in aeronautical science and aeronautical management from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Rome, N.Y.

Issues: parents should take responsibility for their childrens’ education, state and federal mandates for education should be closely examined and challenged if necessary, increase community involvement in schools.
