Two Teens Killed In Crash With Pickup

Two teens died in a car-pickup accident about 4:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Spokane Valley, the Washington State Patrol reported.

Killed in the accident at Argonne and Old Argonne Road were Patrick A. Schindler, 17, of Otis Orchards, and Carman E. Ross, 16, of Spokane, the State Patrol said.

They were riding in a 1988 Toyota Camry driven by Ira W. Chastain, 16, of Spokane, who was reported in satisfactory condition at Deaconess Medical Center.

The driver of the 1995 Ford pickup, Karl F. McAllister, 23, of Spokane, was released after treatment from Holy Family Hospital, the State Patrol said.

No other details were available late Wednesday.
