Lewis & Clark Whips Whitworth, 23-9

The Whitworth Pirates lost their sixth-straight game Saturday as Lewis & Clark beat Whitworth 23-9.

The Pirates, in last place in the Mount Hood League, are 0-3 in the division and 1-6 overall. Lewis & Clark dropped to 1-2, 5-2.

In certain categories, it would have seemed as though the Pirates should have won by two touchdowns instead of Lewis & Clark.

Whitworth held the ball for 40 minutes while the Pioneers were penalized 10 times for 102 yards.

However, as has been the case all year, Whitworth’s offense just couldn’t find the end zone.

Whitworth quarterback Josh Parbon threw to Travis Ernst for 27 yards for Whitworth’s only touchdown.
