Brinkerhoff Rides Four More Winners

Jockey Darrell Brinkerhoff may wish every race day were a Monday.

Brinkerhoff, who booted home five winners last washday, had four more victories Monday at Playfair Race Course, capping his feat with a stretch-running triumph astride Skylark Lane in the cofeatured eighth.

With 12 triumphs in the last five days of racing, Brinkerhoff has taken a firm grip on second place in the rider standings with 44 wins.

Brinkerhoff and Nightly Habit were second to Princess Breeders’ Cup winner G J’s Playgirl, back after a five-week rest, under Mark Hadley, in the featured ninth race.
