Closed Restaurant Burglarized

From Staff And Wire Reports

A downtown restaurant has been closed since February, but someone is still doing a nice business there, Spokane police said.

The owners of Skipper’s restaurant on West Third Avenue told police someone had entered the building and nearly $10,000 worth of equipment is gone.

Among the missing items is a $5,000 broiler, a $2,500 deep fryer, a $1,000 ice machine and a large cooler.

All the equipment is large enough to require several people and a truck to move, police said.

There was no sign of forced entry at the building, which is now for sale.
