Volunteers To Clear Mount Spokane Trails

The Inland Empire Nordic Club is calling for volunteers to help clear brush on the Mount Spokane nordic ski trail system.

The first work party, featuring free lunch, has been scheduled to begin Saturday at 9 a.m. Another work party is set for Oct. 7.

Bring work gloves, water, chain saws, bucks saws, loppers, clippers or shovels. Kids can help, too, club officers say, noting that the state park has no funding for trail maintenance before the snow grooming begins in November. Info: 448-5094.
