Little’s Crew Chief Draws Nascar Fine For Darlington Incident

Compiled From Wire Services

NASCAR has fined the crew chief for Chad Little $500, and five crew members $100 apiece, for “actions detrimental to the sport of auto racing,” as the result of an incident during Saturday’s Gatorade 200 Busch Grand National event at Darlington Raceway.

Members of Little’s pit crew went onto the track near the entrance to pit road during the race to help Little’s stalled Ford Thunderbird after a crash.

Crew chief Gary Cogswell was fined, as well as team members, because NASCAR rules state that a crew chief assumes responsibility for the actions of his crew, Busch series director Ray Hill said.
