Rescuers Still Looking For Missing Airplane

Associated Press

Pilots contended with deteriorating weather and smoke from forest fires while looking Wednesday for a plane believed down in the North Cascades.

Some 25 aircraft found no new leads in the area where the private plane is believed to have gone down, said Brian Holmes, chief pilot for the state Transportation Department’s aviation division.

The plane left Wenatchee for Glacier Peak on Monday morning.
