Walk To Benefit Research Project

Families, heart attack survivors and corporate teams will meet Saturday for the first annual “Climb Mount Spokane for Your Heart.”

The four-mile walk to benefit The Heart Institute’s Northwest Pediatric Research Project begins at 8 a.m. at Selkirk Lodge. Walkers will proceed up the paved road to the Summit Vista House. Walkers are encouraged to raise pledges and those who do may be eligible for prizes ($25 in pledges will garner a T-shirt; $2,500, a mountain bike.)

Registration is $5 in advance, $6 on Saturday. The fee includes lunch, live music and a bus ride back to the parking lot. For more information, call 625-3000. , DataTimes
