Beavers Lose Their Center

Oregon State senior center Vladimir Heredia has left the basketball team to return to his native Venezuela.

Coach Eddie Payne announced the departure but did not give any details.

Heredia’s decision means Oregon State will begin the season with a new coach and only one returning starter, senior guard J.D. Vetter.
