Bob Lohr used a superb putting stroke to hold off charges by Mark O’Meara and defending champion Nick Price in the third round of the Canadian Open in Oakville, Ontario.

First-round leader Alison Nicholas closed with consecutive bogeys to drop into a four-way tie for the lead after the second round of the LPGA Ping-AT&T Wireless Services Golf Championship in Portland.

Tracy Hanson of Rathdrum, Idaho, shot a 70 for a two-round total of 142. Clarkston’s Robin Walton is at 145 after a 73.

Walter Morgan, looking for his first Senior PGA Tour victory, shot a 4-under-par 68 for a one-shot lead in the GTE Northwest Classic in Kenmore, Wash.
