More Media Workers Killed In Algeria
Islamic extremists killed a journalist for Algeria’s state-run television and his wife, a technician at the station, security forces said Saturday.
Said Brahimi, 35, and his wife Radja, 25, were gunned down near Cherarba, east of Algiers, security forces said.
The slayings brought to 52 the number of journalists and media technicians killed since the start of Algeria’s guerrilla-style war in 1992, including five media professionals killed in the past week.
