Police Search For Drifters After Fights At Apartment

From Staff And Wire Reports

Three men described as drifters are wanted by police after a series of fights and vandalism at an apartment building near downtown Spokane early Saturday.

At about 2:15 a.m., two men who were known by the apartment’s occupant kicked in a door and broke several windows at the building in the 1400 block of west Ninth, according to police spokesman Dick Cottam. They also broke the windshield of a car parked outside.

The men fled when police were called.

Two hours later, a group of young men and women arrived. One of the women attacked a woman in the apartment. No one was seriously injured.

A 15-year-old girl was booked into juvenile detention for investigation of assault and malicious mischief, Cottam said.

Two of the men sought by police have outstanding warrants. Richard Fletcher, 24, is wanted for state parole violation and Christopher Viviera, 22, is wanted for a no-bail bench warrant.

Tomico Mims, 20, is sought for questioning.
