The Little League organization that produced major leaguers Dwight Gooden and Gary Sheffield, and made three appearances in the Little League World Series, has lost its charter due to allegations of financial mismanagement.

Belmont Heights Little League has had its charter stripped by the Little League district and its leaders forced out because it was suspected the league was taking in money but not spending it on the players’ needs.
