Firewood Areas Closing For Hunting

Four firewood gathering areas opened this summer by the Wallace Ranger District will be closed for the year on Sept. 29.

Big game hunting season opens Oct. 10, and security cautions will force the closure of the following Forest Service area roads; No. 458 Occidental Steamer area, No. 3019 Bald Eagle, No. 958 King’s Ridge, and the No. 2349 Oregon Toboggan area.
