Life For Pitt Is Anything But A Bowl Of Cherries

Compiled By Staff Writer Rick Bo

Hunky heartthrob Brad Pitt says the worst part about being photographed during a nude romp with his girlfriend, Gwyneth Paltrow, was having to tell her father.

Paltrow’s pop was on his way over for breakfast when Pitt got the call from his manager about the photos.

Pitt told US magazine: “He said: ‘Was anybody hurt? Anybody get sick? Well, then, OK.’ This was after a good long period of silence, with his head buried in his palms.”

Pitt also denied rumors that Paltrow is pregnant, and that he’s helping rocker Melissa Etheridge and her lover, director Julie Cypher, start a family.

Said Pitt: “I just got this visual image of me showing up at their door once a week with a Dixie cup, making my deposit.”

Loose talk

Patricia Arquette (“Beyond Rangoon”), on life with new hubby Nicolas Cage: “We stay home and talk a lot. Laugh a lot. Jump on the bed. Bark at each other.”

It’s amazing how the years disappear so fast

David Copperfield turns 39 today.

She probably thinks that he’s a funny guy

Strange as it may seem, the New York Post insists that there’s something going on between Barbra Streisand and Prince Charles, who got on famously when he visited L.A. earlier this year. A few weeks ago, when Elton John showed up at chez Chaz for what he thought was dinner for two, who should be there but Babs herself.

Must be something about Di and a vine

Meanwhile, hormonally heightened Hugh Grant told the British women’s magazine Eva that he dreams about Princess Diana, “but it is too kinky to go into.”

It certainly would raise their awareness

Screenwriter Joe Eszterhas says the message in the flesh-filled, NC-17-rated “Showgirls” is “important for young people to hear” - so important that he encourages them to get “fake IDs … do whatever you have to do to see it.” Responded Jack Valenti, head of the Motion Picture Association of America: “If Mr. Eszterhas actually made those remarks, he is desperately ill and needs medical attention.”

But you miss all the informative articles

“Showgirls” star Elizabeth Berkely has turned down an offer to pose nude in Playboy, explaining on the syndicated TV show “Extra” that “this wasn’t the right time because you can pay $7.50 and see enough of me in the movie.”

He definitely has a large opinion of himself

On the other hand, Kato Kaelin will appear in a photo spread in December’s Playgirl - fully dressed, that is. “I said I’d do it with my clothes on,” said the former O.J. Simpson houseboy. “Otherwise, it would have to be a double issue.”
