Postal Worker Admits To Stealing Mail

Compiled From Wire Services

A 10-year veteran of the postal service admitted Friday that he stole more than 15,000 pieces of mail and kept them in his basement.

St. Louis mailman Theodis Lofton, 40, pleaded guilty to possession of stolen mail. He faces up to five years in prison at his Dec. 8 sentencing.

Police found the mail in March, when they were helping with a foreclosure on the property.
