Idaho Falls Curfew Routes Kids To County

From Staff And Wire Reports

Falls-area youngsters have figured out how to beat the city’s curfew, so Bonneville County is going to adopt similar restrictions.

The city keeps kids off the streets between 1 and 5 a.m. County commissioners are working on their own curfew.

Bonneville County Sheriff Byron Stommel said teenagers who live in the city have learned exactly where city jurisdiction ends, so they go into the county for late-night jaunts.

“We’ve made them geography experts,” the sheriff said.
