Mary Sears Participates In Vfw Convention

Mary Sears, past national president of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, participated in the 82nd national convention of the VFW auxiliary in Phoenix. Sears, a member of Coeur d’Alene Auxiliary No. 889, will serve as a member of the national budget committee.

Eastern Washington University announced the Dean’s Honor List for summer quarter, which included the following North Idaho students:

Linda G. Vose, Bayview; Amy S. Cambou, Bonners Ferry; Tracy A. Erdmann, Post Falls; and Sharon M. Dane, Priest River.

Minnie McDonald, a nurses aide on the ortho-neuro unit at Kootenai Medical Center, was selected as September’s Employee of the Month.

McDonald has been with KMC for 23 years.

Laura Tolzmann and Dave Nelson were elected as Homecoming Royalty for Lake City High School.

U.S. Air Force Airman Matthew J. Lowell graduated from basic training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.

Lowell, son of Tammie Carstens of Spokane and John Lowell of Nordman, Idaho, is a 1995 graduate of Newport High School.

Rick Gunther and Barbara Bryan, agents at Coldwell Banker Schneidmiller Realty, Coeur d’Alene, were awarded statewide honors for the most “closed business” in the state.

Others Schneidmiller employees who received awards are: Nancy Helmer, top sales volume; Scott Kelly, top referral agent; Coryn Golmicz, top project agent; Don Geiger, top sales units; and Joe Dobson, top listing agent. Bryan also received the achievement award.
