Sonics Sign First-Round Pick

The Seattle SuperSonics came to terms with first-round draft pick Sherell Ford, preventing a rookie camp holdout of the swingman from Illinois-Chicago.

In a brief conversation Saturday morning, the deal was made, clearing the way for Ford’s participation in today’s first session of rookie/free-agent camp. Terms were not disclosed and Walker refused comment.
