Bon Employee, Friend Caught In Closed Store

A Bon Marche employee and her friend were arrested Saturday night after security guards caught the women in the NorthTown store after closing.

Employee Carol M. Rearick, 46, of 6707 N. Whitehouse and Linda A. Sobkowiak, 44, of 4124 N. Wall, were booked into the Spokane County Jail on suspicion of theft.

Store security guards told police they had several videotapes of the women stealing goods from the store.

Police searched the homes of both women, recovering electric appliances, household products and other goods that belonged to The Bon Marche, said Dick Cottam, Spokane Police spokesman. , DataTimes
