Heavy Rains In Iran Leave 9 People Dead

Torrential rains in western Iran caused floods that killed nine people, the official Islamic Republic News Agency reported Sunday.

The agency, monitored by the British Broadcasting Corp., did not say exactly where the flooding on Saturday had taken place, but its report came from the western city of Shahr-e Kord.
