Vietnam To Publish Business Newspaper

Vietnam launches its first English-language business newspaper next week, reflecting the growing importance of English-speaking investors in this small but dynamic economy.

The Saigon Times Daily will be published by the Saigon Times Group in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam’s commercial center known formerly as Saigon, the company said Monday.

It will become the country’s second English-language daily newspaper after the Vietnam News, which is published by the state-run Vietnam News Agency.

Like all other Vietnamese newspapers, magazines and journals, the Saigon Times Daily will be printed under government supervision, the statement said.
