Superior Court Position Open

From Staff Reports

The Spokane County elections office will hold a special three-day filing period next week for a seat on the Superior Court.

Candidates seeking the seat held by Judge Harold Clarke can file for the position between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Wednesday.

Clarke is retiring and Court Commissioner Neal Rielly was appointed by Gov. Mike Lowry to fill the spot. But Rielly must win the Nov. 7 election to retain the seat for the remainder of the one-year term.

Candidates must pay a $990 fee, which is 1 percent of the job’s annual salary, when they file. , DataTimes
