14 Food Rule Violations Found At Kingdome
Seattle-King County Health Department inspectors found 14 violations for food preparation at the Kingdome on the opening night of the Mariner’s 1996 baseball season.
Three food stations were closed for the night, mostly for equipment failure that provides water for hand-washing, a health official said. Some hot dogs were found to be below the required 140 degrees.
Ogden Entertainment Services, which runs the food concessions at the Kingdome, said the food was safe to eat.
Health inspectors had cited Kingdome food stands 158 times over the last three years for unsafe food handling and conditions. Nearly all the violations were found at food stands run by Ogden.
