At&T; Strikes Deal With Compuserve
AT&T’s Internet access service will provide subscribers a simple connection to the CompuServe online service, the companies said Wednesday.
The arrangement is similar to one AT&T has made with America Online, CompuServe’s larger rival.
In both cases, AT&T’s Internet subscribers will be allowed to access the other online services for less money than people who subscribe to those services directly. But AT&T has not announced pricing specifics.
The connections will not become available until summer. They will appear in the form of so-called “hot links” from the Web page AT&T subscribers see when they first log on.
