U.N. Observers Killed In Angola Ambush

Gunmen ambushed a U.N. vehicle Wednesday, killing two military observers and a British aid worker and seriously injuring another peacekeeper.

The observers killed in the attack on the U.N-marked vehicle were Maj. Aljayousy Ziyad of Jordan and Capt. Murai Shakespeare of Zimbabwe, said Alioune Blondin Beye, the U.N. special envoy to Angola.

The dead aid worker is Chris Seward, 46, of the humanitarian organization Oxfam, a British-based independent agency.
