Melvin Nieves’ RBI bloop single in the 15th inning gave Detroit, which earlier blew a seven-run lead, a win Thursday over winless Oakland.

Travis Fryman of the Tigers and Scott Brosius of the A’s each homered twice.

The five homers brought the total to 13 in three games at Cashman Field, the temporary home of the A’s.

Pinch-hitter Tony Tarasco drove in the go-ahead run with an eighth-inning fielder’s choice as Baltimore rallied past Kansas City.
