Kelly To Run Against Gop’s Alltus
Calling himself a political moderate, Democrat Cecil Kelly III said Thursday he will run against conservative Rep. Jeff Alltus, R-Coeur d’Alene, in this fall’s legislative election.
Kelly, 52, is president of The Law Shop in Coeur d’Alene. He has volunteered with the United Way, the Task Force on Human Relations, and the natural resources subcommittee of the chamber of commerce.
He tends to be a conservative on business issues, he said, and a moderate on environmental ones.
“I’m a strong advocate of the Bill of Rights, especially the First Amendment,” he said.
Kelly, 52, is married to Leah Rea Kelly. He grew up in Coeur d’Alene and graduated from North Idaho Junior College and the University of Idaho. , DataTimes
