Program On ‘Sandwich Generation’ To Be Aired

A panel discussion aimed at the “sandwich generation” - those raising children and caring for elderly parents - will be aired three times this weekend on Spokane City Cable 5.

The program, “Issues on Aging,” was sponsored by KPBX and took place last week at City Hall.

Topics discussed include living wills, powers of attorney, medication, health insurance, alcoholism and housing.

Six people made up the panel. They were: Dick Sayre, an attorney; Dr. Chuck Morrison, Group Health Northwest; Ray Raschko, Spokane Mental Health Elderly Services; Christine Clark, Visiting Nurses Association; Karen Mattern, registered nurse; and Anne Koepsell, Hospice of Spokane.

The program will be aired tonight at 7, Saturday at 11 a.m. and Sunday at 6 p.m. , DataTimes
