Spokane Residents Honored By Soroptimist Group

Soroptimist International of Spokane recognized four Spokane residents for outstanding achievements at its annual Awards and Birthday Meeting.

Adeheld “Heidi” Robinson received the Training Awards Program citation. Robinson attends Spokane Falls Community College where she is on the President’s Honor Roll.

Robert Michael Dirks, a senior at Lewis and Clark High School, won the Youth Citizenship Award. Dirks volunteers in the hematology lab at Deaconess Hospital, assisting technicians; he was also a summer intern for the American Heart Association in Seattle.

Mary Beth Salisbury, assistant director at Anna Ogden Hall, is the recipient of the Women Helping Women Award.

Sandra Willis was named the Woman of Distinction. Willis has cooked six years for the Women’s and Children’s Free Restaurant and volunteers 66 hours a week with other agencies.

Bethanie Moeller, a freshman at Randolph-Macon Women’s College in Lynchburg, Va., was named to the Dean’s List for the fall semester. A graduate of Ferris High School, she is the daughter of Jim and Cathie Moeller, Spokane.
