Outdoor recreation

A wide variety of outdoor adventure programs are being offered at bargain prices this spring and summer by Spokane Parks and Recreation Department and the Eastern Washington University.

Both programs offer training and trips involving climbing, backpacking and river running. EWU offers fly-fishing instruction, kayaking and more advanced climbing.

City Parks offers a broader program, including activities such as whale-watching trips, camping with kids, bicycling and outdoor cooking, plus special programs for women, seniors or teens.
