Native Americans Holding Workshops

The Spokane Valley Native American Program will hold two workshops Saturday for Native American students and families.

The workshops will be at St. Mary’s Church, Adult Center, 304 S. Adams.

Coeur d’Alene tribal elder Lawrence Aripa will present the first, from 9:30 a.m.-noon. Aripa is a master storyteller and author. All ages are invited.

The second workshop, from 1-3 p.m., will be by David Grant, a Lakota Sioux. Grant will explore the ancient history and practice of Native American spirituality and its healing potential for today. The workshop is geared for adults and junior or senior high school students.
