Fri., April 12, 1996

A man accused of kidnapping and assaulting his wife at a north Spokane intersection was ordered held on $250,000 bond Thursday.

Larry Chenevert was charged with first-degree kidnapping and ordered to stay at least two blocks away from his wife’s South Hill apartment should he make bail.

Chenevert, 23, reportedly dragged Samantha Chenevert out of a car near Francis and Monroe on Wednesday morning after stripping her naked and hitting her through the passenger window.

The couple’s 10-month-old baby was slightly injured in the attack.

Authorities said Chenevert, who has a lengthy criminal record, then drove the woman to her apartment in the 2300 block of Southeast Boulevard, where he was later arrested. , DataTimes
